Privacy Policy
Personal app
Personal ("the app") is developed by William Miner. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it's used. If you have questions, email [email protected].
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, the email address Apple provides.
- Financial information: account details, balances, and transactions from banks you connect through Plaid, Apple Card statements you import, and, if you connect them, Apple Wallet accounts you give the app permission to read.
- Information you enter: such as pay period settings, categories, recurring expenses, savings goals, and notes.
The app doesn't collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifier, and it doesn't use analytics.
How We Use Information
Only to provide the app's features: building your budgets, syncing your data across your devices, and backing it up. We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.
How Information Is Shared
Only with the service providers that run the app:
- Supabase: sign-in and data storage, in the United States.
- Plaid: bank connections. See the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and Apple Wallet access, when you use them.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on your device and in your private cloud account, and is encrypted in transit and at rest. The app's database rules let only your account read your data. Your bank login credentials go directly to Plaid; we never see or store them.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can disconnect a bank in the app at any time. To delete your account and all its data, email [email protected], and we'll do so within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The app isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
